Frans is this year’s Run for Pride artist and performing at the event area behind Sjöhistoriska Museum at Djurgården in Stockholm May 11th. Frans won the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2016 and was placed in fifth place for Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest the same year.
– For me it feels important to participate in this type of event to draw attention to the fact that it is still not accepted in many places in the world to be an openly LGBTQ-person. By participating in the race, I contribute to spreading awareness to more people, despite my lack of fitness, says Frans.
