Run for Pride – Together we are strong!

On Tuesday the 28th of July 2020, we would have had our days before we went into Djurgården again and turned Stockholm’s most royal district into a colorful place. With the fun-filled race Run for Pride, we have since 2017 run 5 and 10 km respectively for diversity and everyone’s equal value. Run for Pride is a LGBTQI race in the community sign where the four prize categories; Non-Binary, Ladies, Men and Best Costumes have the opportunity to win gold or silver.

After a challenging six months in the wake of the pandemic, many of us have counted the days leading up to this year’s Run for Pride when we would finally be able to lace up our running shoes again. For those of us who work with the race and the magazine, it feels more important than ever to reach the finish line. With famous artists on stage and an event area, we hoped to attract more than 1,000 participants. Under the current circumstances, we are unfortunately forced to postpone the course of the year, until the Swedish Sports Confederation and the Public Health Agency, with whom we have a close dialogue, come up with new information.

With the best interests of public health in mind, we believe in hope, joy and fellowship for the equal benefit of all human beings. Just like previous years, SEK 100 of each ticket sold goes to the Rainbow Fund so that we can help an equal world where everyone has the same basic rights, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

More info and a new start date will be coming soon. Take care of each other!
